Change to a small boat for cruise through the "Lesser Three Gorges" The square holes in the rock face were used during the 3 Kingdoms era for supporting plank highways above the river. Pegs were placed in the holes and boards placed on top, so the soldiers could be marched relatively quickly through difficult terrain and supplies could be pulled upriver against the current.
